Oops, seems like I merely confused the issue a bit further... What I can say with certainty is that "malaredr" is not Finnish -- Finnish is my mother tongue.
Knowing that the passport belongs to a man, the "dr" clearly must be an abbreviation of another word instead of "dotter", which was quite simply the first to jump to my mind.
To my knowledge, there is at least one word that applies to a male and that systematically used to get shortened to "dr". The word is "dräng", which means a "farmhand". The Finnish equivalent of the word is "renki", obviously derived from its Swedish equivalent.
