I don't have access to the book of Martti Santavuori to find out when Honkajärvi was first settled, so I tried Internet and also found a map http://www.merikarvia.fi/kylat/kartta.htmhttp://www.merikarvia.fi/kylat/kartta.htm where you can see where Honkajärvi is located (also this map http://www.histdoc.net/uscha/b2.jpghttp://www.histdoc.net/uscha/b2.jpg from 1898 where you find Honkajärvi at the province boarder close to and E of Sideby/Siipyy and NW of Merikarvia/Sastmola ). At http://www.merikarvia.fi/kylat/honkajarvi/historia.htmhttp://www.merikarvia.fi/kylat/honkajarvi/historia.htm it reads that settlements were established in the 1700's. It may have been after 1721. Many new settlement were established for instance in the nearby Southern Ostrobothnia after ca 1750. I now guess your related story, if this happened in Honkajärvi, might have taken place during the Finnish War 1808-1809.
