Thanks for the date of death! Ancram Methodist didn't list any date for it.
Morgan was the son of John Finkle and "Charity" Gertrude Shook.
I have very little info on their children.
John Finkle (b. 1793) was the son of Joseph Finkle (Joseph appears as "Jost" Finkel in some records) and Catharine Boice/Buys.
If memory serves me right Charity was the daughter of Martin Shook and Catherine Fritz born in 1796. I think I located her baptism at West Copake Reformed Church. She shows up as Gertruy Shook. Charity is a nickname for Gertrude. Their first child was named Martin Finkle presumeably after her father. John Finkle was baptized at Manorton Luth. listed as Johannes Finkle in 1793.
I'll look for my records to be sure my memory is correct and get back to you.
Is there any pictures of Morgan? I doubt it, since I see from census records he was a relatively poor farmer.
Caroline (McNamie) Finkle lived until 1918 - 1925 according to her grandson Harry Boyles - now deceased.
