My g-g grandfather was Richard McDonald Finke, married Sophia Knoeble of Shiloh, IL. His fathear Richard Julius, born 1847, came to St. Louis area about 1860 from Klausthal, Hanover, Germany. There was a large group of brothers who came at the same time. I believe their father and some of the boys were blacksmiths and at one time shoed the kings horses. One brother was William. That is the only brothers name that the family remembers .
