Fink / Starnes

Looking for a link I was told about concerning a Moses Fink from Stanly / Cabarrus Co. N.C. who supposedly fathered a Minnie Starnes through a Criss Starnes. I have a Moses Fink that was my 3rd great g-pa. I know one of his children. My 2nd great grand mother Elizabeth Catherine (Betty)Fink who married Caleb Stallings. All the Finks / Starnes / Stallings / Furrs etc. They all hung out and married each other there. I know my moses got married 2 times, once to Sally Carrick or Canup---I cant read the last name too well on Elizabeths death certificate for her moms last name. Moses married Sally and had at least one son (name unknown). His wife died, he remarried years later and he went to fight in the Civil war---and died. His son was said to have married his second wife. I dont know his sons name or the 2nd wifes name. But--I would like to know if My Moses fathered this child and he died so , maybe she was given her moms maiden name of Starnes because of his death---maybe before the child was born? And was his son's name Moses and this is who is listed as the father? Also. I know Moses had a brother named Allen and one named Reuben, their father was listed as Jacob. I know this is correct because of family info on the three brothers and verification on the military records for Reuben and Allen. Moses didn't list his fathers name. But the other 2 did. There were several Moses' in the area at the time that joined the Civil war, and 2 Reubens---but onlt 1 Allen ---Thus I knew I had a match on Jacob from the correct Reuben and Allen's registration cards.
Can someone please communicate with me and help me figure this thing out?
