Five O'Finigan Brothers leave Ireland about 1845-1851

My family oral history begins with the telling of five O'Finigan brothers who came to America during the Irish Potato Famine.(1845-1851) One first name was Mike (married to Maggie) and the other known name is Frank. I am Mike O'Finigan's decendent.

First off, he landed in New Orleans, but the story is that the ship sank and all the belongings were lost. Anyone know of this ship and how to find out all the passenger's names, etc.?

He next went to New York, Ellis Island. (All five brothers dropped the "O" in the last name.) Mike came before the records were kept. He moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where he sold flowers.

He lived beside the Ohio River. He had a son named Owen, When Owen was three, Maggie died and Mike Finigan began to deliver supplies to the Union Army during the Civil War.

The children of Mike and Maggie Finigan were: Owen
(b.April 8,1858),Jim,Maggie,Moriah, Julia.

Mike Finigan later moved to Texas and bought property, which according to oral history is now Paris, Texas.

Owen married Mary and they homesteaded in Mt.Ida, Arkansas.

From oral history there is supposedly one of these five O'Finigan brothers who helped begin the Armor Meat Company. Another oral story is that one brother was hanged.

Does any of these stories sound like a "connect" with other Irish Finigans out there? Any information will be appreciated.
