I found him! He was born in Woodstock, Ulster Co., not Columbia Co.! I also have his parents (Philip H. & Elizabeth LASHER) & siblings, which leads to another mystery: He had a twin brother, Ransom, b. 4 March 1848. No further mention of him. Did he die young? Help!
