Hi, once in a while I find some time to look after my ancestry. As far as I found out the Finger originated in the little Swiss village named Eriz. This is situated in the canton of Berne in a valley some 15 km east of Thun which in turn ist south of Berne, the capital of Switzerland. There are quite many Fingers to be found in the phonebooks of that region.
There must be some branches which emigrated to Germany and some even re-immigrated into Switzerland.
