Isidore Singer was my great-great grandfather. his father was Kunyah Singer (born Alter) from Russia. Isidore Singer married Bessie Finger and they came to America in 1903 from Russia. Bessie Finger's father was a Rabbi. She came from his first wife, who also had Esther and Sam. Sam's name was originally Finger, but he came to America under the name Singer, claiming to be Isidore Singer's brother. Rabbi Finger had Louie Finger, a girl (who committed suicide), and Frankie Finger with his second wife.
