Findley genealogy

George, thank you for starting this forum! I see already that I have several “cousins” that I never knew of.

I am in possession of a copy of a book entitled “Findley Genealogy”, subtitled “David Findley 1762-1849”, by Mrs. Robert A. Hughes, dated 1967. This is a paper-bound book of 349 typewritten pages and has no publication data, leading me to think that it was privately printed and distributed among family members. All of the following information is from this book. I am taking the liberty of listing the entire line beginning with myself. It is a rather long list, but this is a very interesting family. Several of the names mentioned in other postings in this forum are included. (All of the data from the 8th generation back is quoted by Mrs. Hughes from “Torrence and Allied Families” by Robert M. Torrence, 1938)

I have a great deal of other information; unfortunately it isn’t in a form that I can easily share over the Internet. I will try to answer questions if I can.
