Hi Virginia,
your William married in 1855 to Hannah at wolstanton, shortly before Isaac was born. In the 1881 census Isaac's family is two houses away from william's family. Cannot find specific record for william's birth c.1834, but a Thomas and Mary Findler were baptised in Rugeley in 1832 and 1834, but of Isaac, and John and ann respectively. The Findlers seem to have moved about, so the William Findler born in Endon in late 1775 of William and Mary; his parents seem to be the two married at Stafford in 1759. Isaac born in Cheddleton in November 1809, of Isaac and jane, was a renowned painter, moved around . Wife was Eunice, and they had at least 9 children.
Its possible they had ancestors in Alstoneparish, but a strong possibility is the corruption of name Findlow. Isaac Findlow married there in 1809. Quite a few of this name recorded in Astbury and Holmeschapel areas of Cheshire.
bye pete
