James Edward Finden - Alton, Hants
Posted by: Jeanette Date: February 17, 2002 at 01:07:50
  of 26

At last I have discovered the forename of my Mr Finden! James Edward Finden was the first marriage of my partners great grandmother, Esther Bone. This took place in Alton in 1902. They had a daughter Mabel also in 1902. I am still looking for 3 other children Frederick, Cleveland? and Kathleen.
Fredeick was in the Royal Marines Band, Chatham Division.
Cleveland is believed to have emigrated to Canada, joined the army and died in the 2nd World War in Dieppe although I can not find him on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.

There is an entry on the 1881 census for a James Finden whose parents are James and Lucy and siblings are Caroline, William, Eliza, Agnes, Harry, Frank and Infant 1 month.

Anyone information on James Edward Finden (DOB abt 1871), his parents or his children would be appreciated.

Thanks.
