I recommend you go back to the original documents and make copies of James' signatures, to determine if they are the same person.

Also the church records are for a range of dates. Some people might have appeared early but then died and not necessarily alive at the end of the date range. Also a person could be listed twice with slightly different spelling of name. Sally McElroy could just as easily be a daughter, as James' wife. (Do we agree that "Lenea" is really "Senah" transcribed wrong? Capital "S" and capital "L" is script often looks similar.)
