Thurman Luther Fincham was the son of Martha Elsie Lee Fincham. Martha was born on March 12, 1899 in Adolph WVA. She married Adolph Wegman May 26, 1923 in Adolph WVA. Thurman was born in 1917. Martha was the daughter of John William Fincham and Lena Balli; John William was the son of Charles Henry Fincham and Virginia Exline; Charles Henry was the son of John William Fincham (Senior) and Nancy Dyke.
Thurman was a coal miner, timber cutter and retired as a supervisor for veneer and plywood construction at lumber companies in West Virginia and New York. Thurman was in WWII and was part of the 82nd Airborne. He married Martha A. White September 20, 1945. They had six children including Willard Keith, Doyle Mitchell, Larry Duane, David Lance, Sheila Kathryn and Shelly Denise.
I have more information on Thurman. Thurman and his wife live in Elkins and I spoke to him just 3 weeks ago at the Fincham Family Reunion, of which I am this year's president.
