This is the earliest Finch ancestor which I have. He was born about 1755 and was from Orange Co., N.Y. My understanding is that the family went to Canada during the Revolutionary War and he married Abagail Strong (b. abt. 1763) on May 3, 1785 in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia.
He had at least one child, Charles Finch who was born abt 1788. Charles (son) married Ruth Foote and eventually returned to the US where he died abt. 1840 in Eastport, Maine.
Does anyone else tie into this line? Can anyone else help me expand or extend it?
