Seeking information on the family of Elizabeth Finch, gravestone located in what is known as the Campbell/Weaver cemetery (abandoned) on Consaul Road near Sarah Ct. in the Town of Colonie, N.Y. Elizabeth (no maiden name given) was married to Joseph Finch. She died March 25, 1847 in the 58th year of her age, putting her born at about 1789. Also on gravestone is listed her son Thomas W. Finch who died August 28, 1840, age 17yrs. 10 days. Any information about the Finch family of what was then an area called "Center" along the Albany and Schenectady Turnpike, or today's Central Avenue when Colonie was known as the Town of Watervliet, kindly contact Kevin Franklin, Historian, Town of Colonie, N.Y. at the e-mail listed for this posting.
