Sherri, Has anyone from the John Pinckney Side of decendants tested yet? If so, where does that place them on the tree in reference to the Dighs(Die)s that came down from North Hampton and Halifax Counties in Virginia? I may be interested in it if no one has tested yet. Also, do not assume that JP Digh and His brother were from the same (father)John Jackson Finch. This is still a slightly taboo subject with almost my entire Clan, and in the past it has slipped out that this may be the case. I feel in some way they are still trying to protect the dignity of my Great Great Grandmother and our name of course.Hate to add another dimention to the story, but I thought you may like to know. It was told to me that the Black Hair that alot of the Dighs have are from Mr. Finch, who had jet black hair. The Digh side of Sarrah's being more Fair, which of course was common to the Scots, Germans and the Irish that predominated the settling of this area. Just another tidbit that was talked about at gatherings amongst the old folk.
