The descendants that I have been looking for would be the children or grandchildren of Frank L., Lottie A., or Bert Finch. Frank was born abt. 1916, Lottie abt. 1919, and Bert around 1923 (all born in New York, probably in Sidney, Delaware County.) They were children of Guy B. Finch and Nellie M. Lepine. Guy was born 1895 in New York as were both of his parents. In 1920 he was a farmer in Delaware Co. - His father, Fowler A. Finch was born abt. 1880 and Fowler's wife Lottie (around the same age) had at least 6 children. By 1910 only 3 of those children were living.... I am only aware of one other beside Guy, his name was Howard. Howard married a girl named Joanna around 1919 and they had at least 4 children: Evelyn, Fowler, Jeanette, and Marjorie. Anyway.... Guy's wife, Nellie M. Lepine's siblings were Lena, George, Joseph, and Frank. They were all children of William Lapine & Ada Dunham. William Lepine was b. Nov 1857 CT and died 1925 NY; I suspect he owned a cigar factory in Unadilla, Otsego Co., NY where he raised his family. Ada, his wife, was the daughter of Richard Jeremiah Dunham and Nancy Matilda Brown. These Dunhams are the family I am researching. Richard Dunham was my Uncle (brother to my ggg-grandfather David C. Dunham.) If you find you have descended from these Dunhams or run across any Finch researchers that recognize this Finch family, please send them my email address. Sea6reeze@aol.com (the B in Seabreeze is the number 6) - I am always happy to share my research and of course would be very excited to find someone that could shed some light, even a glimpse, into this Dunham history or possible leads on other descendants that might have some clues to this lineage (anything at all, be it a photograph, post card, letter, gravestone, or word of mouth.) My research for Richard Dunham's mother goes all the way back to the first settlers in Fort Orange NY, Fort Albany, and what is today known as Brooklyn, Kings Co., NY (among other amazing historic locations.) However, there is a missing link. When my g-gramma died in the 1970s, it would appear that our family history went with her. Our family bible had pages upon pages of recorded history that my Uncle Orville probably sold to an auctioneer with everything else passed down for generations -or his sister, my Aunt Mildred selfishly kept rather then passing it down to her descendants (meaning it ended up in the garbage or at the local Salvation Army.) It is my hope that someone in the family recorded all that information during a visit and that it is still floating around somewhere.
