AM INTERESTED IN DOCUMENTATION ON JAMES FINCH'S PARENTS.
I am descended from Elizabeth Jane "Betsy" Finch Drake who married Firman Drake in Whiteside Co IL in 1847. James Finch and Mary Call were married in Whiteside Co IL in 1848. The Finches and Drakes then moved to MN. Interesting to have info on Mary "Polly" Call. All of James' children were by Sarah Phillips. The story I have is that James died in IA while visiting family and was buried next to Sarah Phillips in Oakland Cemetary 14 October 1868 in Lyons, Clinton Co IA so it may not have been so much a falling out with Polly as the simple logistics of the time or the actions of his Iowa children.
