Hello.. I am researching the Finch Family. I do not know if we may have a connection or not. I am hoping to give you the following information and maybe you will find some connection or possibly have some knowledge of the following family members..this has been one brick wall after another thus far. I am looking for information about a DL Finch and a Ida M. Smith. They are the parents to my GG Grandfather Burnell Finch, he was supposedly born in Iowa. Burnell later traveled and lived out most of his life in Southern Il. He was a brakeman for the big four railroad in Mt. Carmel, IL. He married Florence Otto, and together they had my Grandfather William Elmer Finch. I know after my GG grandpa died, my grandpa went out west looking for his uncle.....I have been told his uncle's name was possibly "Harley Finch" but htis is certainly unconfirmed. At one time my grandpa was searching the Montana area, as well as Colorado. I saw your name with the initials as DL Finch and thought maybe you had another relative with those same first initials, that could possibly lead me to the DL Finch I am searching for. Any information you could give to me would be GREATLY APPRECIATED..
