Searching for parents and any other info about Robert FINCH, b. 1804 VA, probably Faquier or Culpeper Co. He married Lucy THORN about 1828 in VA. About 1842 they moved from Rappahannock Co., VA to Lafayette Co., MO where he died in 1858. Their children were: Mary Jane, b. 1829 m. John W. ENNIS; Elizabeth Catherine, b. 1834 m. John A. CORBIN; Wm. R., b. 1835 m. Mary Jane DOLLARHIDE; Frances Elizabeth, b. 1837 m. Champ C. CORBIN; Murry Tyler, b. 1840 m. Frances Elizabeth CORBIN; Ann V., b. 1844 m. James R. HICKMAN; Gabriella, b. 1847, d. 1856; Henry A., b. 1853; and Lucretia (?), b. 1854 m. James MULLINS.

Robert is thought to be the son of Wm. FINCH, Jr. and a nephew of Thomas FINCH m. Nancy HOWELL; Margaret FINCH; John FINCH m. Margaret "Peggy" ANDERSON; Griffin FINCH m. Elizabeth R. WHITE; Elizabeth FINCH m. Thomas J. WHITE; Polly (Mary) FINCH m. James ROLLINGS; Jeremiah FINCH m. Ann ___; Enoch FINCH m. Elizabeth Muse MOSELEY; and Charles FINCH. Robert probably had a sister, Mary FINCH m. Presley ASKINS in 1822, Fauquier Co., VA and then moved to Smith Co., TN in 1828.

Any information about the above Finches is of interest to me and I will share what info I have.
