Hi Dave,
Since you have been researching Finches in Ontario, I wonder whether you can help me?
My g-g-grandfather was Isaac Larham, who was born in Lowestoft, Suffolk, England in 1819. By the early 1850s, he owned a farm in Walpole, Ont. I have a note written by my grandmother, which states, "Grandpa Larham's sister married a Finch-had two boys. There's a photograph with the two boys and their wives and they each had a baby in the picture. They were in the printing business." At one time, she told me the Finches lived in London ( I suppose that means Ontario).
Do you have any information about a Finch-Larham marriage? I would love to hear from you.
BTW, the name Larham has been spelled numerous ways on official documents.
