The poet Robert Finch, b. 1900 in Freeport, LI, NY, taught literature at the University of Toronto many years and published several volumes of poetry. He died sometime after 1983.

In correspondence with my mother ( b. 1916), Professor Finch referred to her as "cousin." Her mother was Dorothea Stella Finch b. 1884. What relationship to her was Robert?

Professor Finch had brother Frank and sister Mary, both in Toronto as of 1983.
