My gg-grandmother was Sarah Jane (Finch) Zinn. She was born 8-4-1855 in Ionia County, MI. I do not have anything for certain, but I suspect that her father was Huram C. Finch. I have seen where he purchased land from the government on 11-1-1855 in Ionia County. I'm not sure where Muir is located, but the census records put him in the township of Boston, MI in 1850 and Lyons in 1860.
I also found a Charles H. Finch that served in the Civil War for the Union representing MI. He died in 1863 I think as a casualty of war. This could be the same person as Huram C. Finch but do not know for sure.
Do you show a daughter by the name of Sarah Jane? This is my dad's grandmother and he does not know much about her family.
