I'm looking for basic information about the Finch family that settled in South Carolina (piedmont) in 19th century. Brothers were born in Woodruff in early 20th C. Once owned hotel in Spartanburg. Ancestors fought in Civil War.
I am a law professor with little background in genealogical research.
