Dear April,

Do you know if your Amos Finch had a son who married a Desire Hughes (Huse/Hewes/Hughs)?
She was sister of my 3d great-grandfather and would have been born in Greene Co sometime around 1790-1810. We only know she was married to a "Mr. Finch" of Greene County NY and she died after falling into the Hudson River. I haven't been able to locate any other Hughes ancestors.
