Actually there are a few northern Finches who migrated to the South listed in Finch Families of Dixie. But my vision for this project does not end with the Finch Families of Dixie, that is merely a beginning point.
It is for exactly the reasons you have just written, that I think this type of website is needed: To make information, stories and documents that people find in their own Finch research available to others at no charge, no password required. While the GenForum is great for queries, it does not handle lineage links, photos or copies of documents. So it is difficult to share these types of things with others. A website would make them readily available.
This project will take the efforts of many people to become a reality. It is too soon to know whether it will blossom or whither away. I fervently hope it blossoms.
