My name is Homer Kimmons and my grandmother was Emily Fincannon (b. 16 Apr. 1868 - d. 24 Jan. 1911). Her father's name was W. Milton Fincannon and he died about 1910. They lived in Ellijay, GA (Gilmer County) and I was glad to hear about this book. I went to research this book in the library at Rome,GA., but to no avail. They were not mentioned, so, I am back to square one in my search for information on her and her ancestry. If any one knows anything about the Fincannons that live in Gilmer County, Georgia from 1800 to the present, I would be greatly interested.
