WILL of STEPHEN FILLYAW, 22 Dec 1837
In the Name of God, Amen.
I STEPHEN FILLYAW of the State of North Carolina and County of New Hanover, being of sound & perfect mind & memory, blessings be God, do this twenty second day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred & thirty seven, make & publish, this my last Will & Testament, setting aside all others.
In the Name of God, Amen.
I STEPHEN FILLYAW of the State of North Carolina and County of New Hanover, being of sound & perfect mind & memory, blessings be God, do this twenty second day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred & thirty seven, make & publish, this my last Will & Testament, setting aside all others.
I do give & bequeath my property in the following manner, viz.,
I do give & bequeath my property in the following manner, viz.,I give & bequeath to my Grandson, JOHN DAVID FILLYAW, the Land whereon my son JOHN FILLYAW now lives, situated on the south sides of Lewis Creek, beginning at the Main Road, where the creek now crosses & running up the various courses of said creek, to the mouth of Cooks Branch, thence up the said branch, to the Rolling Road, thence on in a south course across a Bay Pond to my old corner, & on the various courses of the line eastwardly, to the said Main Road, thence up said road to the beginning..
