My family came from Merton Surrey, and though there is no clear link to the details given for William Henry Fillmore and his descendants, perhaps with more research a connection may be established. Nearly all the eighteenth and nineteenth century details below come from Merton parish register.

JAMES FILLMORE b 1832; m (1)(1851) at Hounslow, Ann daughter of Jospeh Barlow, a coachman. She died between 1857 and 1861. He m (2) (1861) at Putney Alice d of Thpmas Hughes, labourer: she d in 1913. James d in 1908.

FREDERICK WILLIAM FILLMORE b 1862; m (1862) Rebecca (b between 1859 and 1861) daughter of Frederick Goward, merchant, of Stoke Newington. She d 1940. Frederick William left Merton and settled eventually in Cardiff, though as a marine engineer and later Lloyds Surveyor he lived in several parts of England in his earlier years. His whereabouts are unknown after 1905, and his date of death is not established.
