(or might have been known as James Millard Fillmore, but I doubt it as all references to him are as Millard). B around 1844. Civil War time in Cherokee Mounted Volunteers, under Butler. Died March 7, 1897 in the Canadian District of the Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory. Married Emma Hood (not quite sure of dates right now), had several children. Emma was Cherokee, assuming that Millard was too.

children from their marriage:

Hattie, Neppie, George, Cherokee, Della and Ella. I descend from Cherokee and can find no info on Millard anywhere. His death is alluded to by his daughters but beyond that, I don't know.

sound familiar to anyone?

thanks
Juanita
