Dear Filley Family -- I am the research chair of the Capt. Oliver Filley (1784-1836, Bloomfield, CT) House Restoration Project of the Wintonbury Historical Society of Bloomfield, Connecticut. We have done a great deal of research on the Capt., who was a direct descendant of William, the original Filley in the new world, and are in contact with his g.g. descendants. We are looking for family stories about the Connecticut origins, and would be glad to put you in touch with the other Filley people we are in contact with. As you know, your family's history is long, proud, and fascinating, and we will be restoring the stone house (1834) as a public museum, research center, and library. My best to you all -- Sharon
