I have the following information from my grandfather's notes: George Abbott b 11/12/1848 Sacketts Harbor, NY; d 12/30/1915 (probably Olathe, KS but don't have it in my notes) m 12/25/1871 to Alice Marelda Filkin (7 of 14). Buried at Olathe Cemetery. Don't know about his parents, but his home is on the historical tours in Johnson County, and there are several newspaper articles about him and his business.

Alice Marelda Filkin b 1/29/1852 Silver Creek, MI; d at 133 S Pine Street funeral conducted by Rev. E.M. Frank. Buried at Olathe Cemetery. Her parents were Samuel Rolla Filkin and Roxanna Venturia Aldrich.

Their children were Edith Maude Abbott b 7/29/1874 in Olathe, KS; m to Charles M. Norris; d June 1963; buried in Olathe Cemetery. Harry Lovell Abbott died at the age of 5 4/29/1882.

Edith and Charles had a daughter and a grand-daughter; but I hesitate to list them because I am not sure if they are living or not.

Can you tell me about your interest in Alice Filkin and George Abbott? Laura
