Hello James,
We were told as children that we were related to the Gov. Figueroa but so far I have not been able to connect us to him. After reading many of the postings on the Figueroa site I realize that almost everyone with the Sir name believes he/she is related to the Gov. You however, sound like you have a proven relationship so I hope I can provide you with some exciting information that you may not already have.
The Gov. is buried inside a Crypt at the Santa Barbara Mission, in Santa Barbara. Just a few miles from where I live.
