Here is an 1972 Obit re: "Natcho"'s funeral. (G’ma Beck’s 1/2cousin on her Mom’s side) No date or Newspaper name, but it was a Ventura paper. She received it April 1972 (penciled notation), I believe it was sent to her by an old friend in Ventura. OBIT FOR ALBERT C. FIGUEROA Albert C. Figueroa, 75, a second generation native of Ventura, will be recited at 7:30 p.. today in McDonalds Mortuary Chapel, Redding. Mr. Figueroa died Friday in his Redding home after a brief illness. He was born Feb. 1,1897, the son of a native Ventura couple, and lived in this county until 20 years ago, when he moved to Redding. He was a veteran of World Wars I and II, and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Figueroa had been in construction work before his retirement. He is survived by his wife CLAUDINA, sons, VERNON of Ventura, LEO of Tracy; brothers TONY and MIKE FiIGUEROA and MANUEL ROMERO and a sister MRS. CONNIE PALOS, all of Ventura.Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Redding. Burial will follow in the Redding Cemetera. (Note First sentence looks as if it is missing its subject, but it is exactly as the news clipping reads.) My Grandmother, Victoria Herrera had it among her effects. She was the grandaughter daughter of Miguel Figueroa, through her mother Frances Figueroa. Frances in turn was the daughter of Miguel Fig. & his 2nd wife, Maria Leonora Chante' or Jeantet, who bore him two children, Grandma & a short-lived younger daughter, named either Adela or Adela Lenora. M.Leonora had been previously married to a Zamorano and had a son, Albert V. Zamorano. (I have an old photo of this cousin of my Grandmother). Notify Administrator about this message?
