My Ancestor John Feidt pronounced Fight was born Mar. 17, 1847 Germany died Feb. 24, 1914 buried Elkport, Clayton County Iowa. Married Dec. 21, 1878 Clayton Co. Iowa to Alice Stone born July 31, 1862 died Mar. 28, 1922 Elkport, Iowa. They had a large family. It's said that John maybe came to the U.S. from Germany about 1870. It's told he maybe had four sister, and three came to the U.S. with him. Their last names might have been Burger, Lang, and Fritz or Frith. Nothing is known about John's parents, or where in Germany he came from.
