Duncan Phyfe, the famous funiture manufacturer, who came from Scotland to New York in the 1700's, changed his name from Fife to Phyfe, according to one source. He married Rachel Lowzada or Louzada, who was possibly the sister of another cabinet maker, Isaac Louzada. Isaac was living in 1850. Does anyone have copies of the Wills of any of these people?
