Greetings, everyone!
Can anyone tell me whether George Fielding, 1st Earl of Desmond was involved in the English Civil War, and, if so, which side he supported? I know that his elder brother, Basil Fielding, Earl of Denbigh, was a leading Parliamentarian, but that their mother was a vocal Royalist. I am interested in his servant, Charles Blount, who I would have expected to have been on the royalist side - but cannot assume that.
