James Fielding (born 1745) is my gggggrandfather. He had 5 children surviving to adulthood, Joseph (b. 1770), Betty (1772), James (1774) (of whom I am a descendant), Johnathon (1777) and Mary (1779). I have long suspected that Johnathon Fielding (d. 1803 aged 83) and Mary Howarth (d. 1786 aged 60), who married in 1745, were James' parents and your information finally confirms this.
I am obviously extremely interested in the entire contents of "Fieldings Historical Gleaning Vol 1" as it will be full of information concerning my ancestors. If it is practicable, I would be extremely grateful if, at my expense, you could arrange for a photocopy of the book to be made and sent to me.
