Francis Fielding Calmes

My 3g grandfather was Dr. Francis Fielding CALMES of Laurens/Newberry Counties, SC. He was married to Nancy Elizabeth (Betsy) BERRY. His name is the first time that Fielding appears in our family, but it has carried through even to present generations. Given the naming patterns in the CALMES family and their descendants, I'm assuming that there was a Fielding surname in this line, most likely in Betsy Berry's line. Betsy's parents were Capt. Thomas BERRY and Frances Ann KENDALL. Her grandparents were Capt. Joseph BERRY married Catherine SIMCOCK and Samuel KENDALL married Elizabeth WOFFENDALL. If you know of a Fielding connection to one of these families, please respond. Thanks so much.
