Andrew:
Try looking up Denbigh (Also Denbigh Castle)on the internet. I found the entire succession of the Earls of Denbigh from the first Earl, in the 1600's to the 12th Earl of Denbigh in the U.K. today. The third Earl of Denbigh also became the Earl of Desmond. So, you may want to look up this family, also. They are tied somehow to the Hapsburg line, which goes back to about 900 A.D.
My wife's family were from Yorkshire/Lancashire. She descends from Armistead Fielding, of the Todmorden line, who immigrated to Nova Scotia from Hull, Yorkshire in 1774. We're looking for ties to any other Fieldings/Fieldens anywhere in the U.K.
Best Regards,
Dennis
