Betty Fielden is my great great grandmother through Rebecca Eastwood. I think the census you describe is the 1871 census and I think the 18 year old Hannah is Susannah - her name mispelt. Betty and John Crowther appear on the INDEX for the 1881 census but are crossed out on the original document with no details entered. Their daughter Susannah with her husband Joseph Eastwood and child Frederick aged 1 are also 'missing' from that census. Could they be travelling or moving house? I have found Susannah and Joseph with their family on the 1891 census and a few doors away at Rockliffe, Spotland is her sister's family (Charles and Sarah Townsend). Another sister Elizabeth married Thomas Rushton (see also under Genforum.Crowther). You can email me direct at mchill_52@hotmail.co.uk Regards Mary
