Yes, Sally Margaret Field is also a descendant of Gilbert Field (1765-1815) and Eleanor Morden (1771-1850).
The only John I have as Zachariah's father is the one whose will was dated 30 May 1665 at Providence, RI. There are several documents listing him, the earliest is a ship passenger list dated 1636. Most of us feel he is not the son of William Field and Jane Sotwell of Thurnscoe, York. Bill Field spends time in his book on this.
In looking at other possible Johns I also noticed that some had the given name William for Zachariah's father. William Field had the lot immediately north of John's at Providence. Some folks think that William was the father of Zachariah's sister, Ruth, who married John Angell. Descendants of Ruth Field Angell include Truman Osborne Angell who was the architect of the Salt Lake Mormon Temple and his sister Mary Ann Angell who was the second wife of Brigham Young. Providence records state that William died without heirs and that is why his property went to a nephew Thomas who was not a son of John.
Yes, I would be interested in the murder/obituary.
