Seeking additional information on my FEIGER ancestors:
George L Feiger was born in 1799/1800 in Hanover, Germany. George was married prior to 1825 to Christiana ________. Christiana was born between 1796 and 1802 in Wurtemburg. The Feigers emigrated to the United States in 1831.The earliest record uncovered indicates that the Feiger family was living in Upper Windsor, York County, Pennsylvania in 18401. At that time the household consisted of one male aged 30 to 40(George), one female aged 30 to 40 (Christiana), 1 male aged 20 to 30 (?), one female aged 10 to 15 (Susanah?), one male aged 5 to 10 (Ernest), one female aged 5 to 10, 2 males under 5 years of age (Jacob and Philip), and 2 females under 5 years of age (Catherine and ?).

In 1870 the family had moved to Salisbury township4. They had returned to Sutton township by18805. Christiana died 13 January 1883 at Sutton, Meigs County, Ohio from consumption,her age at death being listed as 86 years, 11 months, and 16 days. Her obituary was published on 17 January 1883 in the Meigs County Telegraph: "Died Last Saturday, Mrs. Christina, wife of Geo. Feiger, died at the residence of her daughter,Mrs. Fred Bestinger, in Sutton Township, and was buried on Sunday.Mrs. Feiger was 87 years of age, and had been a resident of county for over half a century. The deceased was the mother of Mr. E. F. Feiger, of this city, and she was a highly respected lady.Her husband survives her. George died a few months later on 26 April 1883. The Meigs County Telegraph printed hisobituary on 2 May 1883:"Death of an old citizen: Mr. George L. Feiger, an old and respected German citizen of thiscounty the father of Mr. E. F. Feiger, of this city, died last Thursday evening, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Bergshecker, in the Nease Settlement, at the advanced age of 84 years. The deceased was born in Hanover, Germany, and emigrated to this country in 1831, settling in PA. He afterward moved to Meigs County, where he resided over 30 years. He raised a family of 11 children, 6 of whom are still living. The wife of the deceased died about 3 months ago. His funeral was held Saturday afternoon." Both are buried in Carmel Cemetery, Sutton Twp., Meigs County, Ohio.

v. Catherine Feiger was born on 4 August 1837 in Pennsylvania. Married Frederick Bergschicker.
vi. Philip D Feiger was born 13 May 1839 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Married Juliana Krauth and lived in Grand Traverse Co., MI.
vii. Female Feiger born between 1835 and 1840.
