Have just read your posting of Sept.27 02; I can't immediately connect with the Fidlers you mention, but I have a GG grandmother ELIZA FIDLER who was married at St. Mary's Church MARYLEBONE in 1852, so she must have lived in the same area as your Alexander FIDLER b. 1799.
My ELIZA FIDLER - b. 16/10/1830 - was the daughter of THOMAS FIDLER and wife Sarah, who lived on South Street. I do not know THOMAS FIDLER's parents - might he be connected to your ROBERT FIDLER?
