Does anyone know who Mary Fickett is the daughter of? Any information would be appreciated. Linda The National Genealogical Society Quarterly, Volumes 1-85, 1600-1900's Source: Genealogylibrary, Nationa Genealogical Society Quartley, volume 33, page 36 Samuel Snell was in the Garrison of Oyster River (Durham), New Hampshire, 1696/7, he is found in Greenland, Barrrington and Portsmouth, New Hampshire during the period from 1713-1724. He married Mary Fickett. Their children were Samuel, Thomas, (married Joanna Pinkham), Solomon (married Elizabeth Runnells), John (married (1) Sarah Catu, and (2) Mary Evans), Abigail, Martha, Mary, and Sarah (married Robert Huckins). He was called Welsh descent, but was perhaps related to the other early New Hampshire Snells. Descendants have been traced from Durham and Lee, N. H., to Vermont, Massachusetts, and the Great Lakes.
