Please help me.How do you know Caroline Few was Berry Mills first daughter.Caroline Few was married to Benjamin Williamson Few in Morgan Co Ga as Caroline Few - her maiden name.I must have something wrong.
Also, the names of Madison Few's b. 1822, d. 1859 and Sarah Ann Downs Few b. 1828-1829 children are:
Joseph M. b. 1846 -died pvt CSA, POW Ft. Delaware MD Mar 1,1864.He was taken at Gettysburg July 3, 1863. He served in the 42 MS volunteers infantry, Gaston's rifles.
Elizabeth b. 1847 - no record past 1850.Either she deceased or was farmed out to work as all of the other children were by the time she was 10y.o. and married young.
Sarah Ann Few worked as a live-in day laborer and all of her children went to work by age of 10-11.That is why they were very intelligent, but illiterate.
James "Jim" W. b Jan 1850 - married Sarah Webb and had 2 children. She died either in child birth or shortly thereafter. He then married Mary F. "Mollie" Webb and she raised his children E. Lee Few who married L. L. Nelson and W. A. Few who married Lou Candace Florence Harrison.
Sarah J. "Sally" b. 1852 - no one knows what happened to her.She worked as a day laborer as a maid and then disappeared off of the censuses 1870.She supposedly married a Fielder - this cannot be substantiated.
William F. "Madison" b. 1854 - 53 - by history moved to AR.Found at White Co AR on 1880 census as a day laborer in the home of Benjamin F. Jackson. He married Jackson's stepdaughter Mary F. Welch b. 1866 on 29 May 1881 in White Co AR.No further record.
John "Henry" b. 1857 - married twice.1st - Nancy V. "Nannie" Moore b. 1850 d. July 1911.Married then Mattie May Ross b. 1886.He had two children by the first marriage, only one survived - my grandfather John "Marion" Few b. 1883.He had six children by the second marriage.
Mary Cornelia b. 1859 - she married William Henry Hughes and had three daughters.
Sarah Ann Downs Few b. 1828-29 then had supposedly 2 more children.
Riley Downs Few b. 1863 - he married Dorothy Smith Gibson and had 2 children - one died in infancy. He d. 1885. Either the census is wrong in 1860 which shows Madison missing or Riley is not Madison's son.
Luella McFarland Few b. 1872 - she married R. J. Porter and had 7 children.Several of her offspring are holiness preachers. Sarah Ann Few supposedly was working for the McFarlands when she came up pregnant. No one knows the circumstances.Only Luella's side of the family knew of her existance. She was never spoken of.
Sarah Ann Downs Few died you say by 1880.I am not sure of this. One record has her death as 1925.I have a hard time believing this.
I hope this will help with your records.
