I am interested in knowing the dates and locations of Captain Benjamin Few in North Carolina ca. 1775. I have a copy of a pension application filed by Mijajah Brooks who states, "I was in my fourteenth year, an orphan, going to Ransom's Mill, when Capt. Benjamin Few and 20-30 men rode up, slapped me on the head and asked me to join up in the service of the United States." Few, Micajah and the company left for Wilkes, GA where he served as a scout for Few.

Was Benjamin Few in Chatham County, NC in 1775 or 1776?
