I am looking for info on Mary Jane (Eugenia) Fetzer, who came from Germany as a 9 year old child stowaway, about 1857 or 1858. She grew up in an orphanage in Donaldsonville, La. At 18, about 1858, she left, went to Jena, La, Where she taught school. She met and married a man, named James Louis Griffin, in 1869. They had 5 children. She died in 1885, age 34. Her husband gave his children to others to raise. No one knows where he buried his wife. If anyone know of this lady, it would be greatly appreciated by me to get the info. I am her great granddaughter. I would just li8ke to know where she is buried, and her father's name, if possible. Also, she had a son, named James Louis Griffin, Jr. who left Central La. at the age of 30 and never returned. I would dearly love to learn where he went.
