Conrad Mentzer/Meintzer/Maintzer would be the likely grandfather of the John Mentzer who married Susanna Fetter.

I have a Johanes b. 29 Aug 1794, bap. 21 Jun 1795, the son of Joh Meinzer & wife Margreth.

This family was in Elizabeth twp. in 1820. The elder John died in 1820. His widow Margret is enumerated in 1830. Likely John & Susanna moved west after she died.
